BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WV News) — The West Virginia Jazz Society’s “Comeback Concert” will offer vaccinated patrons a full night of entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. May 22 at Bridgeport’s Benedum Civic Center. According to West Virginia Jazz Society President Eric Spelsberg, the event will be the a series of post-pandemic music performances. May 22 will feature a performance by the Jazz Crossroads Band, featuring prominent jazz artists from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Artists scheduled to perform include Reggie Watkins - trombone, Vince Lewis - guitar, Marshall Keys - saxophone, Dave Braham - organ and Mark Cappellini - drums. The doors will open for dining at 6:30 p.m. featuring Lewis County’s South Texas Barbecue Co. serving up main dishes of either half chicken or briskets, green beans, candied carrots and mashed potatoes. The Corona Café, another Lewis County Staple, will provide rolls and desserts. Live music will follow at 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
